Daily Mindfulness Cues

All law students can follow UMLAWSTUDENTS on twitter (www.twitter.com/umlawstudents) and receive daily mindfulness cues.

Mindfulness cues are reminders to “wake up” out of reactivity by intentionally experiencing one or more of your senses for a few moments.  As discussed in the Jurisight for Law Students’ class and presentations, doing so offers a variety of benefits, moment by moment.

These mindfulness cues will be based on those discussed in the Jurisight for Law Students class.  Short and sweet, daily reminders include: “breathe,” “listen with eyes closed” and “smile.”

If you a 1L student and are not in the class or are a 2L or 3L student and did not have an opportunity to take the class as a 1L, you can still benefits from these daily twits.

In the event you do not know what to make of one, perhaps “4--7--8 Hands,” use it as a reminder that it’s okay not to understand everything immediately and to “breathe.”  You can always visit The Mindful Law Student website to learn about the cue or e-mail us for a direct answer.

Also, occasionally you will receive a twit about an upcoming mindfulness event.
